The Minnesota Alliance on Crime is holding their 2024 Annual Meeting and Capacity Building In-Person at the Kelly Inn in St. Cloud, MN.
The Annual Membership Meeting will provide our members and allies the opportunity to learn more about the strategic work MAC staff and board are currently engaged in and provide direct feedback that will shape MAC’s initiatives moving forward.
The theme of the 2024 capacity building training is Burnout and Supports for Advocates. The book club discussion will be around the book Burnout: The Secret to Unlocking the Stress Cycle, where we will discuss ways to change systems to make advocacy more sustainable. The training will conclude with a presentation from a treatment professional who lost her son to gun violence. She will speak to the ways in which advocates can work with victims in ways that keep them engaged in the work rather than becoming jaded.
This event is free and lunch is included!
