MAC has begun administering the Minnesota Heals Family Support Fund. The MN Heals Family Support fund was created to provide financial support for families impacted by a law enforcement deadly-use-of-force incident. This fund can provide financial resources for the funeral and burial of a family’s loved one, as well as mental health services.

MAC has a history of advocating for much needed systemic reforms and financial investment for individuals, families, and communities who experience violence and trauma. The MN Heals Family Support Fund will now allow MAC to advocate for families, impacted by a law enforcement deadly-use-of-force incident, in a much needed and tangible way.  MAC looks forward to building and strengthening relationships with grassroot efforts around the state to comprehensively support families when they experience a traumatic loss of a loved one.

MAC is committed to continuing to provide support and resources that are guided by our core values. All of MAC’s work is rooted in equity that prioritizes underserved communities and MAC works to increase equitable outcomes for all those impacted by crime across all systems. MAC’s Director of Operations, Amee Krogfus, will be the contact for families and advocates who may be working with eligible family members.
